CREVALLE JACK Caranx hippos (Linnaeus, 1766)
DISTRIBUTION AND ABUNDANCE: Crevalle jacks are found from Nova Scotia to
Uruguay, but are most common south of Cape Cod. In Massachusetts,
juveniles have been found in freshwaters of the Buzzard Bay
drainage but might be expected in the Cape Cod, Taunton,
Narragansett Bay, and Islands systems.
