NORTHERN PIPEFISH Syngnathus fuscus Storer, 1839
DISTRIBUTION AND ABUNDANCE: Native. In Massachusetts, are very
common in marine waters and may be expected to occur in the
estuaries of most larger streams and rivers. They tolerate
salinities at least as low as 4 parts per thousand in Massachusetts.
