The MCZ Fish Collection can be searched directly through MCZ SEARCH and on GBIF's Portal. A search for Neotropical material is available through NEODAT II.

Searches require the use of scientific names and will not work with common names, ie. sharks. If you want to try a search for a North American fish in MCZ SEARCH we suggest you try searching for the species Notropis bifrenatus that is the scientific name for the bridle shiner, a minnow restricted to northeast USA.
