Exhibition & Other Loans

Exhibition Loans

Requests to borrow MCZ specimens for exhibit purposes are coordinated through MCZ Collections Operations for the Exhibition Loan and include pertinent departmental documents.

For consideration of an exhibit proposal, please review the MCZ Exhibition Loan Procedure for the standard requirements. In addition, the MCZ Exhibition Loan agreement is subject to a standard, best-practice set of conditions and may include specialized concerns set by the relevant collection(s).

Research Loans

Requests to borrow MCZ museum specimens for research should be made to the appropriate departmental collection.

Breeding Loans

Some MCZ researchers utilized live animals in their research and have the occasion to loan live animals for breeding purposes.  These loans involve possessory and use rights during the duration of the contract.  For more information on the MCZ Breeding Loan agreement, contact Collections Operations.
