Gifts to the MCZ must be accompanied by the relevant documentation (e.g., collecting permit, Material Transfer Agreement, export permit). A Deed of Transfer or stewardship agreement must be signed before the MCZ can accept material. [Contact](/contact "Contact") the relevant department to ensure that all documentation is in order prior to shipping any material.

When sending gifts internationally, review [International Shipments to the MCZ](/international-shipments-mcz "International Shipments to the MCZ") prior to shipping any material to the MCZ. Those donating collections or materials are responsible for obtaining estimates of monetary value from outside appraisers.
