Jonathan Losos received the Daniel Giraud Elliot Medal from the National Academy of Sciences. Losos is recognized for his research on adaptive radiation of *Anolis* lizards, the subject of his recent book *Lizards in an Evolutionary Tree: Ecology and Adaptive Radiation of Anoles*.
