Congratulations to George Lauder, recipient of Star-Friedman Challenge grant

George Lauder (MCZ Curator of Ichthyology and Organismic & Evolutionary Biology professor) and Jessica Whited (Harvard Stem Cell Institute assistant professor) were awarded a Star-Friedman Challenge for Promising Scientific Research grant this year for their joint research project How to regenerate a limb? Integrating analyses of metabolism and developmental biology.

The project seeks to understand the molecular and metabolic changes that occur during limb regeneration. Focusing on axolotls, they aim to answer a fundamental question: How much does it cost to regrow a limb?
