Congratulations to Javier Ortega-Hernández, recipient of a Dean's Competitive Fund for Promising Scholarship award

Javier Ortega-Hernández (MCZ Curator in Invertebrate Paleontology and OEB faculty member) and Rudy Lerosey-Aubril (research scientist) were awarded a Dean's Competitive Fund for Promising Scholarship award for their project A fresh North American view into the Cambrian Explosion – new insights into the paleobiology and exceptional preservation of the 500-million-year-old Marjum biota from Western Utah.
