Congratulations to incoming MCZ Faculty-Curator in Invertebrate Paleontology, [Javier Ortega-Hernández](/people/javier-ortega-hern%C3%A1ndez), granted the distinction of Investigador Nacional Nivel 1 (National Researcher Level I) by the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (National System of Researcher). The award from the Government of Mexico is for excellence in scientific production.
