Inbar Maayan

Inbar is an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biology interested in understanding the processes driving the evolution of biodiversity. In her postdoctoral research, she is using the natural diversity of Caribbean tree lizards (Anolis) to study the potential impacts of changes in genome structure on diversification and adaptive evolution. Her work integrates generation of genome scale data with cytogenetic and population genetic lines of evidence to discover how genomic rearrangements – especially with respect to sex chromosomes – may contribute to the early stages of diversification during adaptive radiation.
