Dr. Pan’s research focuses on fluid dynamics in biological systems, including insect/bird flight and fish swimming, through an integrated computational and experimental approach. After joining the Lauder lab as a postdoctoral fellow, his research focuses on hydrodynamic interactions in fish schooling. His research interests include but are not limited to biological fluid mechanics, 3D auto-tracking techniques for high-speed videos, advanced numerical methods and digital twins in biology
